The Friends of Argyle Free Library (Friends) is a non-profit service organization. We are composed of volunteers and our purpose is to

  • Acquaint the community with the library’s resources and services
  • Provide assistance with various programs and activities
  • Raise funds to help the library with the purchase of items outside the library’s budget

We raise money by our annual plant and bake sale in the spring and we also help with the used book sale that takes place every July 4th.

In addition to fundraising events, we also make book bags for the kindergartners every year, maintain the library’s garden, and clean and dust the book stacks in the library.

Some purchases made by funds made by the Friends include

  • Books
  • Educational toys
  • Book cases
  • Book carts
  • Decorations
  • Copiers
  • Computers

If you’re interested in joining the Friends of the Argyle Free Library, or would like more information, please contact the Friends president, Carol Kuhr at ckuhr.275@gmail.com.
