Donations
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
The Argyle Free Library was officially chartered only 2 years after the ravages of the Great Influenza Pandemic of 1918-1919 had subsided. The founders must have realized the importance of providing vital community services during stressful and uncertain times.
Our 100th year has been marked by significant disruption of our daily lives. It has also been marked by perseverance and dedication to provide for the greater good. Despite the current pandemic, we have continued to spend our days and evenings improving our beloved little library.
In addition to re-painting and updating our reading rooms, we have made great strides in expanding our Children’s programming, offering free wi-fi, supporting homeschooling needs, conducting virtual programs, offering curbside lending services during the worst of the current pandemic, and in collaboration with the Fresh Food Collective, offering free, fresh fruits and vegetables on a weekly basis.
We are asking for your donation in support of the Argyle Free Library. Now more than ever, the critical services we provide are needed in a community that has seen its share of disruption. Despite the restrictions and uncertainty, the library has continued to support our friends and neighbors.
We’ve made donating easier this year. In addition to donating via check, you can give online. Simply click on the Donate button, or scan the QR code to the right with your smartphone. You can make a donation via credit or debit card, or donate by PayPal if you have an account.
Donations from you, our friends and neighbors, will help ensure the health and well being of the library into the next hundred years. Now is the time. Please join our loyal family of supporters and make a donation to the Argyle Free
Library. We can’t do it without you.
Thank you for your support.
