Resources for Homeschooling

Are you just starting out with homeschooling? Or, are you a veteran homeschooler that needs teaching resources? Either way, you’ve come to the right place!

Library Resources

Interlibrary Loan

With an Argyle Free Library card, you can check out books and other materials from 57 member libraries in the MVLS and SALS system! Do this by searching our online catalog for what you need and placing a hold. The book will ship to the Argyle Free Library free of charge in just a few business days!

What if our 57 member libraries don’t have it? Place a request at the Crandall Library and they will get you what you need!

Computers, Meeting Room, and Printing Services

We have four public computers and wifi available at the library for your use. We have one black-and-white printer, and one copier/color printer/fax combo machine. Argyle Free Library is also the best deal in town with black and white copies and prints only costing 10 cents per side!

Also, you can request use of our meeting space for any projects or classes you have planned that are too big for your home. Or, even if you just want to switch things up by holding classes at the library, we’d love to have you! If you plan on having a class when the library isn’t normally open, that is no problem. One of our staff or board members can open the library up for you. If you’re interested in using our meeting space, please fill out this form.

How to use the library class

We would be happy to hold a class for your students about how the Dewey Decimal System works, how to search for books, and how to find great resources online totally free of charge! If you’re interested in this class, please fill out this form.
