All Summer:
Story Walk at the Youth Commission Field – Stop by the youth commission field to walk through a storybook!
July
16th (Thurs)- 1:00 – Create a Leaf Imprint Tote Bag – Using leaves you can find in your garden, we will create the perfect tote bag for your library books with simple tools like a hammer and a block of wood. Registration Requested. (All Ages)
21st (Tues)- 1:00 – Silent Wings Raptor Program – Featuring live birds of prey! Educators from the Silent Wings Raptor Rehab will teach us about the connections between our modern raptors and dinosaurs! (All Ages – Limited to 40 attendees)
28th (Tues)- 10:00 – Stuffy Adoption Event – Come visit with a variety of adoptable stuffed critters and enjoy a special story time about pets. Choose a friend to bring home as your very own! Adoption fees (donations of cash or pet food) will be collected for local animal rescues. (All Ages)
August
5th : 11:00 (Wed)- Prehistoric Geode Smash! – Join us for a rocking good time where we will smash geodes, dig up treasure, and learn to identify a collection of fossils and stones. (All Ages)
13th : 1:00 (Thurs)- Jungle Bookmarks! – Use plants and leaves from local gardens to create beautiful bookmarks. Some dinosaurs may be lurking in the foliage if you look very closely! (All Ages)
22nd : 10:00 (Sat)- Dungeons & Dinos – Join us to explore a magical world! This game will be a beginner-friendly, 2-hour adventure. No experience, books, or dice required, we have everything you need! Registration is required for this event. (ages 10+)
Fresh & Free Produce At Argyle Free Library
In conjunction with the Southern Adirondack Library System and the Fresh Food Collective, Argyle Free Library offers the community free, fresh produce and dry goods on a weekly basis! Come into the library to pick up your produce from our new mini fridge located at the circulation desk. Produce and dry goods are FREE and available to everyone equally!
