A service provided by Tri County United Way<\/a>,\u00a0The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)<\/strong>\u00a0is a program supported by the IRS.\u00a0\u00a0Individuals with an income of approximately $53,000 or less are eligible to have their federal and state income taxes prepared by an IRS-certified volunteer for free. \u00a0Each volunteer has been trained to be sure that your taxes are prepared so that you receive an accurate return, that you receive all the credits to which you are entitled and that it is prepared in a timely manner.\u00a0When completed, your returns\u00a0are submitted electronically\u00a0for faster refunds.
